Universal eDPI Calculator
Calculate your Effective DPI (eDPI = DPI × Sens) instantly and compare your true sensitivity against professional esports benchmarks.
Everything You Need to Know About Sensitivity Math
Learn how game engine yaw multipliers work, how to preserve muscle memory, and how to calibrate your mouse settings.
What is eDPI and why is it useful?
eDPI stands for Effective Dots Per Inch. It is the product of your hardware mouse DPI multiplied by your software in-game sensitivity (Formula: eDPI = DPI × In-Game Sens). It allows players with different hardware mice to compare sensitivity directly on a normalized scale.
Can eDPI be compared across different games?
No. eDPI is game-specific because each game engine uses different internal yaw multipliers. For example, 280 eDPI in Valorant is NOT equal to 280 eDPI in CS2 (in fact, 280 eDPI in Valorant equals approximately 890.9 eDPI in CS2). To compare cross-game sensitivity, use our universal cm/360 calculator instead.
What is a good average eDPI for competitive Valorant and CS2?
In professional Valorant, the average eDPI is between 200 and 320 (with a median around 260–280 eDPI). In professional CS2, the average eDPI is between 750 and 1000 (median around 880 eDPI).
